How to Register for MyESR App

The following ESR functionality is available over the Internet:

View online payslip (weekly & monthly)

View pension statement (TRS)

View and update personal details

View training compliance

Registration

If you wish to have access to ESR over the Internet using a personal device e.g. your smartphone,

you will first need to have registered from an NHS computer using your Smartcard.

At LSCFT you will find a link on the desktop of any computer or you can access this by clicking

here. If you do not have a Smartcard please contact us by emailing

Smartcards.IDBadges@lancashirecare.nhs.uk

1. Log into ESR on PC/Laptop using Smartcard and click Manage Internet Access:

2. Make a note of your ESR User Name & Click Request Internet Access:

3. Create a password (adhering to the following rules):

Password Policy The ESR password policy has been updated, when users change passwords that they use to

access ESR, the following rules will apply:

Passwords must be 8 characters or more in length

Passwords must contain at least one letter and one number

Passwords may not be the same as previous passwords

Passwords may not contain repeating characters or sequential characters or numbers

(such as 'ABCD' or '1234')

Certain words and terms are not permitted within passwords. Users should avoid using

words associated with the system, their roles, or their locality.

4. Type password in appropriate boxes and Click Request Internet Access:

5. If you fail to adhere to the Password Policy for ESR you will receive an Error message:

6. Once you have successfully set your passcode the Status will appear as Approved. Click

Portal:

7. Open the App store on your mobile device, search for MyESR and install:

8. Once downloaded Open the MyESR App:

9. If you receive the following messages please Allow Notifications & Accept the Terms &

Conditions:

10. Click My ESR:

11. Insert your ESR Username (which you made a note of in step 2), insert your password

(created in steps 3 & 4) and Click Log in:

12. The Home Page will appear and you can view your ESR details – Click Menu button for

further options:

13. To link your mobile number return to the ESR Portal page on your PC and click Manage

Internet Access:

14. Type your mobile number (minus the 0) and click Confirm Mobile Number:

15. A Text message will be sent to your mobile with an Access Code:

16. Enter the code you receive and click Confirm Code:

17. You have successfully linked your mobile number to ESR:
