Kickoff Mechanics (page 7)● H and L start at Receiving

Team’s 30 yard-line● Adjust based on Kicker’s

ability● H and L have runner to the

goal line● B covers middle all the way to

the goal line● U covers middle up to R30

Substitutions(page 13)

● goal=consistency● Communication is key● R,H, and L: focus on offense● B focus on defense● 3 seconds to leave● All Team A players must be

set for 1 second.

unsuccessful FGs are IDENTICAL

● Numbering exceptions● R can advance unsuccessful

FG unless ball broke plane of goal line.

Mechanics Point of Emphasis: “The Chop”

(Page 41)● If H, L, or B does not know where

an airborne scrimmage kick crossed the sideline, then RAISE YOUR HAND.

● H,L, or B will walk towards the R.● R will “chop” at the out of bounds

spot.● H, L, B will stop, face the field,

signal #3, and signal #1

Try (Page 39)

● If play breaks down, then players must be eligible by position and number.

● If unsuccessful, then BALL IS DEAD.

● Remember Bridge Fouls on successful tries.

● Must “Go for Two” in Overtime.

Calling and Reporting Fouls (page 46)● Mentally mark the yard-line.● Repeat bursts of whistle to alert

crewmates.● Report to R (Who? What?
