We are seeking to appoint an ambitious subject specialist, with a record of delivering excellent results, to lead our English department. In order to achieve the highest possible grades our students are set challenging academic and personal targets and given the inspiration to succeed. In order to achieve this the successful candidate will have:
a clear vision for the role of the English department at Simon Balle School
the ability to inspire, motivate, challenge and support our staff, students and parents
the drive and passion to raise standards in teaching and learning across the team
a proven track record of achieving outstanding GCSE and A level results
the ability to plan strategically
the ability to establish and develop partnerships within the school and the wider community
excellent communication skills
the ability to lead whole school initiatives
creativity at fostering independent student led learning
ambition to move towards senior leadership
