HAITI CARE MISSION: APRIL 2010
A lot of exciting things have been
happening since last month. First of all,
our shipment of literally tons of Rice,
Dehydrated Potatoes, Peanut Butter,
and other miscellaneous items made it
to Haiti. This shipment was sent out
before the earthquake, and your
generosity helped to cover the cost of
that shipment. Sherrie at Christian Light
Ministries was overjoyed to receive the
food, as it was a much needed blessing,
and as always in Gods perfect timing.
Missionaries, Ron and Deb Wray were
also able to distribute goods through
our connection in IN. They had this to
say about the donation, They were so
well done....much appreciated.
Please pass along a very special
thank-you to thepeople who made
them.Wow.....the peoplein the
slums at Renaultwere very thankful.
They were encouraged and impressed
whentheyrealized that someone
made them. See page 2

We also received pictures just this past
month from a group that received our
items when we made the trip inDecember of 2009. The pictures came
with this lovely email from our dear
friend Jean Bellefleur,
Dearest Obermeyer,
We apologized for not being able
to send the pictures of our
distribution made last December
26, 2009 to a local organization
to which we gave some clothes
and other stuffs to the kids.Bunch of my kids at Batjda were
there. Please, receivethose
pictures in recognition of what
Princess Project had given to us.
It was a pleasure, in time of crisis
now we are waiting for more
clothes for boys and other stuffs
for thekids and families. Thank
you beforehand! May God
continue to bless richly your
Projects! Have a nice day in the
Lord! See you soon! Keep
posted!
We are always so impressed with our
donors and volunteers, and the quality
of not only their work, but also their
loyalty to our cause. The number of Threads of Love projects that we
have been able to turn out in the past
three months has been nothing short of
miraculous! As of April 1st we have
received nearly 9,000 dresses, quilts,
diapers, and sleeping pads! To date we
have been able to send out and
distribute all 9,000 items!

We are very thankful for your
wonderful support of the Haiti Care
Mission. Without you we would not be
able to provide medical supplies, personal care items, towels and
washcloths, dresses, diapers, comfort
quilts and boys pull up pants to those
living in Haiti. We are only three and a
half months into 2010 and we will soon
reach a point where we have already
shipped more items to Haiti than we
did all of last year! This is because of
you.
Our three greatest needs remain the
same:
Prayer- We need your continued
prayers to go forward. We often talk
of sensing when we know you have
been praying. We feel those prayers
and we are blessed to benefit from
them. In two weeks I will travel to
Haiti with three friends. This will be
our first trip there since the
earthquake. Please pray for us as we
experience first-hand the sadness ofwhat our friends and co-workers in
Haiti have been going through.
Partners- Now more than ever we
need people to sew for our projects.
Do you know someone who may be
interested? If you do, please share
our mission with them. Direct them
to contact us and we will provide
them with everything they need to
begin partnering with HCM.
Provision- This is our long-term
need. Three shipments have been
driven to Florida, three shipments
have gone to Indiana, and items were
transported to Grand Rapids, MI. We
have provided several vacuum packs
to missionaries who took our items
in their suitcases. We will begin to
receive regular shipments of items
from Gold Beach, Oregon, where
Jamie Sutter, is coordinating the
collection of items from the West
Coast. We need to beginreimbursement for these shipments.
Thank you, in advance, for helping us.
Serving Haitis Little Ones, Jon Obermeyer

Tawas Area High SchoolPresents Donation
On Thursday April 1, 2010 Jon and Anne
Obermeyer graciously accepted a check
from Tawas Area High School in the
amount of $1,232. The presentation was
made during an assembly which consisted
of a video presentation about Haiti both
before and after the earthquake, a musical
presentation by Corie delRio, and some
words of praise and encouragements from
both Principal Kiblingler and JonObermeyer. The overall theme of the
assembly was heroes We wanted to be
sure to say thank you to the many Heroes
For Haiti at TAHS that made this donation
possible, The funds will be used to cover
shipping costs for our threads of love
projects. We thank you on behalf of
Haitis littlest ones!
SHIPMENT ENROUTE FOR IN.
Jons wife Anne and Annes mother, Arlene
Salsibury are currently en route for
Indiana with items to be delivered to a
missions warehouse for shipment to Haiti.
Please remember to say a prayer for their
safe travels, as they make this special trip
to deliver items.
It is always our goal here at HCM to give
100% back to our mission, and to ensure
our donors and volunteers that 100% of
their efforts are being returned to Haiti
with no strings attached We have found
that hand delivering our donations either
by us ourselves or by other trusted
mission groups is the best way to ensure
this policy. So again thank you to all of
our shipping and delivering volunteers, like
