CONFLICT MANAGEMENT

• It refers to the long –term management of traceable conflicts it is the label for the variety of ways by which people handle grievances – standing up for what they consider to be right and against what they consider to be wrong .those ways include diverse phenomena as gossip ,ridicule ,welfare etc which forms conflict management will be used in any given situation can be predicted and explained by social structure or social geometry.

GROUP FACILTATION

• It is process of running and designing a successful meeting.

• It concerns itself with all the tasks needed to run a productive and impartial meeting .it serves the need of any group who are meeting with a common purpose ,whether it is making a decision solving a problem or simply exchanging the ideas or information .

GROUP LEARNING

• It is useful educational approach .the group work has be carefully planned and frequently requires a facilitators to insure a group progress .the group function and learning that takes place needs to be assesed and evaluated .the material learned is as importatnt as the groups ablity to achieve acommon goal.

SELF DIRECTED WORK TEAMS

• Minnesotor based 3M is among an increasing number of companies that involve employees in the daily management of their business through work teams .these teams are empowered to take corrective actions to resolve day to day problems .they also have direct access to information that allows them to plan control and improve opertaions

• These teams are natural work groups that work together to perform a function or to produce a product or service.

LARGE SCALE INTERVENTIONS

• The LSI approach for a change meets those needs ,because it involves stake holders in the process of training and development.

VIRTUAL TEAMS

• It is also known as geographical dispersed GDI is a group of individuals who work across time ,space and organizational boundaries with links strengthened by webs of communication technology,members of virtual teams communicate electronically ,so they may never meet face to face.

TEAM BUILDING

• The goal of this is to increase communication and interactions between work related group to reduce the amount of dysfunctional competition and to replace a parochial independent point of view with an awareness for nessicity for interdependence of action calling the best efforts of both groups organization development methods provide ways for increasing intergroup cooperation and communication.
