GROUP A and Pini&Sträuli Architects have joined forces to respond adequately to the current challenges resulting from the transformation of buildings, functions and urban structures.

We firmly believe, that sustainability is no longer an option, but has become part of normal life. Sustainability starts with re-using what is already there, not only in terms of limiting the landuse, or reducing the building material, but also in terms of cultural heritage and social acceptance.

Most of the already built but empty areas can be transformed and adjusted to a new use. The key task is the reading and interpreting of the existing structures, which are usually more flexible than what they were thought to be. Every building has some qualities worth to be enhanced and something else to be improved. The importance lies in the recognition of the potential. We are convinced that throughout a clever and innovative design process everything can be used.

With the collaboration of GROUP A and Pini&Sträuli architects we offer the sensibility of dealing with existing spaces and the professionality to organize a complex building process.

This booklet comprises key transformation projects. They are the manifestation of our architectural and urban ideas, vision and commitment. With you, the reader in mind, each and everyone of them has been purposefully chosen and selected.
