Greensboro Police Officer Arrested in Surry County
GREENSBORO, NC (August 13, 2012) At about 4pm today, Officer TL Eastridge Jr. turned
himself in at the Surry County Sheriffs Office after learning that a warrant was issued for his
arrest for an alleged assault upon his wife at their home in Surry County.
Eastridge faces one count of assault on a female. The criminal charge against him will
be processed through the Surry County court system.
As is standard practice when criminal allegations are made against a Greensboro Police
Department employee, the department will conduct an internal administrative investigation to
determine if the employee violated any of our conduct rules. sUntil his case is adjudicated,
Eastridge will be placed on administrative duties with no law enforcement responsibilities.
Eastridge, 30, began his employment with the Greensboro Police Department on
February 16, 2005 and currently holds the rank of Police Officer II. Until this event, he was
assigned to the Tactical Narcotics Team, the uniformed operational unit of the Vice and
Narcotics Division.
