GETS PURPOSE

Offer un/under-employed adults the skills & support to build economic stability for themselves & their families by providing an on-ramp to careers in the energy efficiency, construction, and solar industries

Construction, energy efficiency, water conservation & renewables

Case management & job placement support

GETS PROGRAM

GETS Core

Pre-apprenticeship training program

Targets low-income adults with barriers to employment

Open to East Bay residents

9 weeks of training

Construction and energy efficiency focus, includes applied math and soft skills

Case management and job placement support

Additional GETS Modules

Includes Solar PV Installation, BPI Building Analyst, Sales & Marketing

Open to GETS grads and others

GETS PROGRAM

Approved Multi-Craft Core Curriculum (MC3) provider/Pre-apprenticeship

Employer Advisory Council provides ongoing feedback on curriculum and industry trends

Strong partnerships with cities (especially Berkeley and Oakland), WIBs, unions, and community based organizations

Help cities meet their climate action goals by providing green job training and putting local residents to work in the local economy
