Usual situation with will • Offering something:This homework is difficult. I’ll help you with it.• Agreeing to do something:Can you send Jane this message?Sure. I’ll do it immediately.• Promising to do something:I won’t be unpleasant. I promise.• Asking somebody to do something:Will you please turn the radio down? I’m trying to study.

Usual words with will probably I’ll probably be home late today.

I expect I haven’t seen Peter today. I’ll expect she’ll phone tomorrow.

(I’m) sure Don’t worry about the exam. I’m sure you’ll pass.

(I) think Do you think Sarah will like the present we bought her?

Shall I...? Shall we...?• Shall is occasionally used with I and we in very
