various sectors for enhanced employability of youth in partnership
with NSDC
Gram Tarang Employability Training Services
Centurion University, a one of its kind State University, will provide knowledge &
infrastructure support and will also be the accreditation body for all skill training
programs. Centurion Vocational Education Qualifications Framework will provide
career pathing opportunities to help up-skill youth and give them “learn while you earn”
options
NSDC, true to its mandate of promoting skill development by catalyzing creation of organizations involved in vocational training, will provide funding as well as
support through quality assurance, information systems and train the trainer
academies.

• Gram Tarang Employability Training Services adjudged ‘Overall Best Performer‟ during FY 11-12.
• Jury took into account Gram Tarang‟s presence in Naxal-affected areas within the geographies from where it operates and its impact on the local population for naming it the winner of the biggest award for exceeding its target by training over 6,200 youth with a strong placement record of around 81%
• 75% of the candidates having SC/ST/OBC status and mostly originating from disadvantaged districts of Orissa & Andhra Pradesh.

Ashok Leyland recruits ITI MMV graduates from ITIs
across the Hindi speaking belt of the country and sends them
to the Skill Development Centre (SDC) for a 4 month training. Ashok Leyland then places the trainees at various
dealerships across the country. Also provides curriculum & ToT

Program Structure
Program Structure: Infrastructure: GTETS will provide the hard infrastructure Ashok Leyland will provide all the soft infrastructure like Trucks, Engines, Chassis etc . Course Content: Predominantly developed by Ashok Leyland and includes multimedia content from OEMs of different parts (e.g. brake, steering etc) Faculty: Trainers are typically diploma holders with experience and many are ex servicemen hired from the Armed Engineering Services and have been trained at the Ashok Leyland Training facility in Chennai. Program Overview
• Phase I: 3 months fully residential program in Bhubaneswar, Free of Cost for trainee; Registration fee of INR 300

• Monthly Contact Classes = 5 days * 5 hours per day = 25 Hours
• 10 Months of Training per year, or 250 hours of contact classes per year

•Batch of 100 deployed @ 5,500 with On the job training in Welding and then redeployed to Pune @ 7,500 within a year

•BBA Retail Management for all existing 12th Pass Employees
•Delivered through a combination of contact classes, distance education & online learning through e-Learning Management System at 4 Metro cities

•Diploma Mechanical program to be delivered at their factory in Mahindra City, Chennai
