Tenses :)

A tense tells us when

something happened

We have three tenses:1. Past tense

2. Present tense3. Future tense

Past tense

When something has already happened, we say it is in the past!

Present tense

When something is happening right now,

we say it is in the present!

Future tense

When something will happen. It is yet to

happen. We say it is in the future!

To change a sentences

tense, we only change the

verb.

A verb is a doing word!

Past tense

to change the verb in a sentence to past tense, we only add -ed.

For example: The word “play” in past tense will be “played”

We add “ed” to the end of the word.

Remember we only change the VERB!!!!!

Past tense

Yesterday I washedmy shoes.

We added “ed” to wash because it has already happened.

Past tense

Sipho watched tv in the morning.

We add “ed” to watch because it has already happened.
