KG2 High Frequency Words High frequency words are words that are most commonly seen in the English language. Knowing to read these words will help improve students’ reading ability. Some words can be sounded out phonetically. Some words are ‘tricky’. They don’t follow the phonetic rules like was or were. Students must be able to read all these words by now. Colour the ones you can read blue and the ones you don't know yet yellow. Practise the yellow words every day.
