    The Department of State submits thefollowing comprehensive listing of thestatements which, as required by law,Federal employees filed with theiremploying agencies during calendar

    year 2012 concerning gifts received fromforeign government sources. Thecompilation includes reports of bothtangible gifts and gifts of travel or travelexpenses of more than minimal value,as defined by statute. Also, included aregifts received in previous yearsincluding one gift in 2008, two gifts in2009, four gifts in 2010, twenty-seven

    gifts in 2011, and two gifts withunknown dates. These latter gifts are

    being reported in 2012 as the Office ofthe Chief of Protocol, Department ofState, did not receive the relevant

    information to include them in earlierreports.

    Publication of this listing in theFederal Register is required by Section7342(f) of Title 5, United States Code, asadded by Section 515(a)(1) of theForeign Relations Authorization Act,Fiscal Year 1978 (Pub. L. 95105,August 17, 1977, 91 Stat. 865).
