A Note From Pastor DennyAFEWTHINGSDearFriends,WHATASEASON.HopefullyallofusarestillbaskinginthewarmglowofagreatAdvent/Christmasseason.Theservicesweresomeaningfulasweretoldthestoryandsangagainthesongsoftheseason.I’mespeciallygratefulforJoshuaElderandallthemusi-cians,youngandolder,whobroughtsuchtalentandwitnessthroughtheirmusic;andforJenHeffingtonforalltheworkshedidwithchildrenforourservices.Actuallyeverymemberofthestaffandsomanyvolunteersmadethe“comingofChrist”seasonsowonderful.Thankstoall!MISSIONS.Wehavesomanygreatopportunitiesforourpeopletobeinvolvedinmissionwork.Andwehavesomeonewhoisprimar-ilyresponsibleforeachprojectormissionactivity.However,weare
lookingforsomeonewhowouldchairtheMissionsCommittee.Thiswouldincludeoccasionalmeetingswherewecancoordinatetheworkofthevariousmissionendeavorsandconsid-eradditionalmissionrequests.Ifyouhaveaheartformissions,andarenotalreadyover-whelmedwithotherchurchactivities,pleasevisitwithmeaboutthispossibility.WeneedyouandIwillsupportyouineverywaythatIamable.ATOURMOSTGENEROUS.‘Tistheseasontobeso.ThankingGodforthebirthofChristintoourlivesgivesuseveryreasontosupportChrist’sworkthroughthischurch.IknowyoureceivedtheChristmaslettersolicitationandmanyhaverespondedgenerously.Tohelpyourchurchfinishtheyearstrongandstart2019withconfidence,therearethreethingsyoucando:•Completeyour2018pledgeifyou’vefallenbehindonthat.•Completeyourestimateofgiving/pledgecardfor2019.Ifyounolongerhaveacard,youcangotoourwebsiteandclickon“AboutUs”andmakeyoupledgethere.YoumayalsocallthechurchandaskforRuss,whotakesandrecordsallourpledges.•Ifyouhaven’tyetmadeaspecialChristmasgift,pleasedoso.TRUSTINGGOD.It’sdifficultforanyofustoknowwhereourlivesaregoingthisnextyear,butweknowthatGodgoeswithus.Inthatknowledgewewillfindstrengthforthechallengesandgratitudefortheblessings.Happyandblessednewyeartoallourfamilies.
