From the President’s Desk
Warm Regards and Greetings, I am delighted to present the report during my tenure which is now going to come to an end. We tried our best to do what is in the best interest of AMBI and in that endeavour must have ruffled feathers of many. I may be forgiven if anyone’s sentiment is hurt, in this journey of mine bestowed by the members of the Association. I am extremely happy because AMBI could spread its wings and get three chapters added for the academic events: 1.Chandigarh Chapter- started in Nov.2013 and was inaugurated by Dr.Graham Beastall, the IFCC President 2. Panjab Chapter -started in April 2014 3. Gujrat Chapter -started in October 2014. Many academic events have been organized by various chapters. AMBI has also realized its dream of organizing an All India Level Quiz Competition for the undergraduates for the first time. The winners of all zones have been invited to the conference at Tirupati, a rare honour for M.B.B.S. students which will remain etched in their memory forever. A complete addressography has been added on the active ambi site (www.ambi.co.in) and for the first time the newsletter is going to be emailed and added on site. Friends, It is quite satisfying to inform that we could add approximately 350 members this year and the membership has rolled to 1823 till now. I wish to request every member that we must do introspection that our acts and deeds are in line with AMBI constitution and its spirit.
I am happy and feel proud to acknowledge that all members of the executive have worked tirelessly and to their level best to get the assigned jobs done. Especially ,I am extremely grateful to Dr.V.Govindraju for his unconditional support and the liberty he offered from the Head Office for various decisions taken all throughout. From the bottom of my heart I thank Dr. Shanthi Naidu , Head-Lab Medicine, Care Hospitals who has been doing a brilliant work for the AMBI as Hon Secretary and Foreign Correspondent. It is a pleasure to learn that in IFCC our members have been inducted to various posts and I congratulate them for their achievements: Dr.Shanthi Naidu- Corresponding Member in Task Force-CKD Dr.Sanjeevi Rao - Corresponding Member-Web Editor Dr.Pradeep Dabla- Chairman Task force for Young Scientists Dr.ShanmugaPriya- Corresponding Member in Task Force Young Scientists Dr.Animesh Badoloi- Corresponding Member in APFCB-C-CC Committee Some of the members could get travel fellowships for the conferences held at Bali and Istanbul. The untiring efforts of Dr.Shivani Jaswal, Associate Professor, GMC, Chandigarh and the Joint Secretary also require an applaud for bringing out the new updated addressograph and addressing to all kind of issues regarding registrations. I also wish to acknowledge the contribution of Dr.Charanjit Kaur , Professor-SMMC, Delhi by vigilantly guarding interests of AMBI. And this year the conference is being organized by the dynamic Organizing Secretary Dr.PVLN Srinivasarao at Tirupati . There has been a revolutionary change this year when it was decided to publish the abstracts in the indexed journal and abstracts were invited from registered members only. The conference is going to be unique because all the delegates are going to carry home the academic riches and the most precious Bala Ji’s blessings !! Enjoy the feast and Stay Blessed !! provided. I am sure that each one of us would learn from the other in the various fields of medical
biochemistry.
The executive office bearers and other responsibilities are highlighted in the website. Since there was
some hiccups in state representatives replying to our mails there has been a delay in the release of the

will respond to our call and fulfill their duties. We request that in future all state representatives please take
