Future-Ready Core:
Graduating Career
and
College Ready
Future-Ready Core: Rationale
• The guiding mission of the NC State BOE is that every public school student will graduate from high school, globally competitive for work and postsecondary education and prepared for life in the 21st century.
• If the level of expectation is not the same for all students, then high school graduates will not be given the foundation of academic and life skills that they will need to succeed in college or a career.
