Education

My name is Francesco Peri and I was born on the 20th January 1987 in Florence, Italy. Since I was young I have demonstrated interest in drawing and building blocks, but only from the time when I’ve choose the industrial design course this aptitude in projecting was followed. Unlucky choices about the typology of senior high school (specializing in science education in place of artistic education) had influenced my iter studiorum: I was the classical example of student with great unexpressed potential. After the high school leaving qualifications I register at the University of Florence, Economy course. Shortly after I have to admit to myself that economy don’t means only marketing, but includes also statistics, accountancy and political economy. I was unsatisfied and determined to leave the studies. But when I learned that there’s a university course that treated of design and graphics, I think: “why not?”. I wasn’t scared by the admission test: that was my chance to demonstrate my potential; in fact I passed it. Since then it’s started a series of excellent results. Currently my average is 28/30.

After three years, the course of Industrial Design has provided me with a complete background about design and graphics and a method to create an efficient project, within the required time and the proper ways.

Skills

My skills ranges from the creation of graphic material of any kind, on paper or digital, photography, industrial design, according to standards of usability, ergonomics and quality of the project.

I consider myself a friendly and willing person, collaborative and patient. Ability to work in team and high motivation are critical for every job, in life and in sports: rugby has taught me this, such as humility and willingness to learn.

CORPORATE IMAGE Currently Florence has only a tourist information center, but municipality plans to build a new visitor center on the american model.This is the project for the visitor center’s corporate image, including an idea for a urban redesign of the entrance of the site.
