Introduction
“ACCESS”
Meaningful access to ICT involves complex physical, digital, and human
aspects, and relationships. It is not about the ‘have and have-nots’, but
about the gradation of access.
Providing ICT Access in rural Africa is constrained by environment, skills, and culture that surround.
To whom do academics make suggestions? Local practitioners need rooting in definition and framing aligned with local reality.
The ongoing study of ‘ICT access in rural Africa’ includes 12 years of ethnographic Observations in rural areas of Zambia
WHAT ARE CHALLENGES
Most of the rural challenges are historical or as a result of being disadvantaged. Most activity that are hugely invested and are
attracting people to fasten development only happen in semi or urban areas, so
People change locations to follow these opportunity.
No opportunities available in rural areas such as; Job Opp, Better schools, better hospitals and houses, no electricity, no better roads and food…
So, the rest of people who remain and stay in rural, need/deserve care and communication both from within and outside territory. ?
??Who is willing to go and develop in rural areas??FoC
HOW DO WE DO THAT?
We partner with professionals and experts around the globe
We mobilize communities and partners to work together towards sustainable development programs
We share the best practices and Measure the impact on assigned projects be it + or -

PROJECTS IN PICTURES
Conclusion
A multitude of experts who came to work with us in Zambia in ICT projects enjoyed. Same came with an explicit, preset agenda, others with an open mind, to observe and to learn.
Periods spanned 1-2 weeks, several months or years. Effectiveness varied. Some labored and their work evaporated immediately they left. Others labored and a Legacy continued to exist and bloom.
Our experiences shows that in order to reach enduring results, it is necessary to spend considerable time observing and then serve in the community in Accordance with what was learned. Those who were able to observe the needs of the local community, and did accept all the arrangements made by local community, earned a love and respect of the local community. Thus the first key approach is to observe. It takes time to look, listen and really try to understand what is happening.
