DESIGNTechnologically driven, Rhodes is always at the forefront of progress. FormCAD is our innovative building system that uses an engineered framing and forming system as a superior alternative to traditional concrete block work.
TECHNOLOGY & MANUFACTURE FormCAD is an efficient system used to build concrete buildings. Light Gauge Steel (LGS) studs act as the core framing and is further strengthened using reinforcement bars. The form-work is created using form-ply and fixed into place using specialised spacer clips and brackets. With the help of vibrators, cement is pumped or poured into the 150mm wall cavity encapsulating the LGS frame, spaces and re-bar.

METHODOLOGY: FrameWork: The C-Profile (89x40mm)pre-designed LGS Framing is fixed onto a concrete slab followed by the specified structural fixings and services. FormWork: The Form-ply is secured into place using our bespoke spacer clips, specifically designed for a uniform and fast method to erect form-work
Concrete: in conjunction with vibrators, concrete is poured into the 150mm wall cavity, encapsulating the LGS frame, spacers and re-bar.
Finishing: A skim coat surface preparation covers any exposed spacer ends and is finished with paint.

LIGHT STEEL FRAMING SYSTEM Using highly advanced software, cold rolled steel framing is engineered and cut to size. This system ensures that a major part of the construction process is completed on the factory floor. It is perfect for remote sites where construction needs to be flexible to site conditions.
FLAT PACK SYSTEMBuilding materials are flat packed into a compact stack and a complete house can fit in one 40" container and transported directly to site.
