What is Planks?

The English Education Planks Model helps pre-service teachers assess, navigate, collaborate, and document the success of data-based curricular solutions as they navigate a multi-year assignment: enhance the 21st century research and technology skills of low SES students within a rural and diverse nearby high school. Inquiry team captains lead over 120 ENED majors, divide into small research teams, negotiate technologies,collection instruments, and data-visualization creation tools. 

Spruz Spruz.com is our online collaborative space that allows us to share blogs, events, pictures, and videos.

Drop.ioDropio.com allows you to upload files to a url that can be shared with anyone. We‘ve used drop.io to share media files.

WufooUsing 21st century literacies to assess 21st century literacies, we used Wufoo.com to develop an online form that our researchers can fill out and submit electronically once they’ve gathered their classroom observation data.

Flip CameraWe videotape our meetings using a Flip camera so that we can document all of the information we share.
