Fulfilling the Great Commission

• Students pursuing a Master of Divinity (MDiv) or a Master of Practical Theology (MPT) are required to enroll in two semesters of Field Education (FED) after 50% of their coursework is complete.

• MDIV Students must complete ~ 45 hours of coursework before enrolling in FED

• MPT Students must complete ~ 30 hours before enrolling in FED

Fulfilling the Great Commission

• FED students are sent to a church and a community site for hands on learning

• Theologically trained Site Supervisors help students acquire and test ministry skills

An Education on the Field

• The FED Site Supervisor will help you become competent and successful in ministry

Practicing Church Ministry

• You will learn about church leadership

Practicing Ministry

You will gain understanding of

parachurch ministries

Practicing Ministry

• Church and community sites will teach you practical application of what you learn at Seminary

You will have opportunities

to pray for the sick

Practicing Ministry

• You may choose to serve as a chaplain at a hospital or hospice center

Practicing Ministry

• You may lead a Bible study

• Or minister to the homeless
