The Feast of Tabernacles,
Ingathering, Booths
(OCT 17-18)
40 And you shall take for
yourselves on the first day the
fruit of beautiful trees, branches
of palm trees, the boughs of leafy
trees, and willows of the brook;
and you shall rejoice before the
LORD your God for seven days. 41
You shall keep it as a feast to the
LORD for seven days in the year.

It shall be a statute forever in
your generations. You shall
celebrate it in the seventh month.
42 You shall dwell in booths for
seven days. ...

Sukka: a hut, as of entwined
boughs or lair. “Booth,
cottage, covert, den, pavilion,
tabernacle.

1. They were to live in booths
for 7 days, to rejoice for God’s
provision, and
2. to remember how the Lord
caused them to dwell in
booths when He brought them
out of Egypt.

sanctuary, that I may dwell
(shakan: lodge, reside
permanently) among them.

3 And I heard a loud voice from
heaven saying, "Behold, the
tabernacle of God is with men,
and He will dwell (skenoo: tent,
encamp, occupy as a mansion, to
reside) with them, and they shall
be His people. God Himself will
be with them and be their God.

II. THE WATER LIBATION
CEREMONY
HIGH PRIEST would go to
the water gate to the
Pool of Siloam which had
“LIVING WATER.”
37 On the last day, that great day
of the feast, Jesus stood and
cried out, saying, "If anyone
thirsts, let him come to Me and
drink.38
He who believes in Me,
as the Scripture has said, out of
his heart will flow rivers of living
water."

TABERNACLES IS:

2. THE FEAST OF THE NATIONS

3. GOD’s HOUSE is the place
of God’s OUTPOURING.

GOD’s RIVER OF FRESH
LIFE-GIVING WATER,
though HIS HOUSE,
THROUGH YOU AND ME!

throne of God, and serve Him day
and night in His temple. And He
who sits on the throne will dwell
among them (will ERECT A BOOTH
OVER THEM with His presence) 16
They shall neither hunger
anymore nor thirst anymore; the
sun shall not strike them, nor any
heat;

17 for the Lamb who is in the
midst of the throne will
shepherd them and lead them
to living fountains of waters.
And God will wipe away every
tear from their eyes."

US! He set up HIS
BOOTH OVER US.
