Introduction

♦ Planning and exertion of education, as an intentional activity, is not arbitrary; it is purposeful and forward-looking. Being intentional and purposeful, education is value driven. Educational ends are driven by and express what we value as individuals and as people. One may say that a man is in proper sense only when he educates himself.

♦ Education put ones potential to greatest use.

♦ Humanistic education is not only building up of the individual, but also of community.

♦ An educated population is essential to a nation’s prosperity and for living.

♦ Our world is a changing world, so, improving incorporation between university plans, and the way they are arranged alongside, will be gradually important as the 21th century progresses. Therefore, the varied missions of the future universities should be well thought-out.

With regard to this vital role of education in the future university, ten significant elements are presented in this talk.

GoalsIt is recommended that the universities reevaluate their missions with emphasis to the following subjects:

● Instructing students who have ability to work in multicultural workplaces,

● Integrating research and academia into society and real world,

● Integrating disciplines to create a wide array of fields,

● Fostering students to realize and be able to attack and solve new real world problems,

● Cultivating students who stimulate for protection of the environment and care about the sustainability of the resources,

● Recruiting a new generation of quality faculties with regards to two wings of knowledge and ethics,

● Adapting of curricula and pedagogy in accordance with the future needs and rapidly emerging technology,

● Developing skills with regard to the future world of rapid and pervasive technological changes.

 FacultyFaculty members should fulfill the following conditions as far as possible:

 ● Having required background of science, knowledge and experiences,

● Observing moral and ethics quotes,

● Motivating the students for advancement of humanism,

● Transmitting information to student through problem solving,

● Encouraging student centric more than teacher centric,

● Extracting the gap between faculties and students.

● Advising students, in case of their need, to solve their social problems,

● Employing interactive techniques in teaching,

StudentsStudents should preferably meet following requirements in regard to the pertinent discipline:
