How to use the Product Reference Converter This tool helps you to cross-reference old and new references for the Universal Enclosure offer The tool is bi-directional for our former brands to/from new Schneider Electric offer

You can enter reference by reference or by a list of up to 500 lines.You can also add the quantity to the reference and it will be copied to the conversionA check is done to see if the quantities entered is according to the new ordering quantities (cell marked in red if not ok)

The output is the - corresponding reference- descriptions for Schneider Electric references- range names for Schneider Electric references- the major changes linked to the brand migration.

How to translate into local languageGo to the tab "Translation"

Conversion tabsEnter your translations in the green cells, by overwriting the exisiting entires

Product DescriptionsIn tab "Translation" change the number in cell B38 to use one of the following languages

Spanish: 15English: 16French: 17

For other languages translate directly in the General database into one of the columns O, P or Q and then use the corresponding number from the list above in tab "Translation" cell B38

Technical changesDo not modify the EN entries in the first columnMake your changes in either the FR or ES columnIn tab "Translation" change the number in cell B42

Final stepThe final tool will be made of : - Read me (top part only), Index, selected conversion data sheets- Hidden sheets: Translation & General DatabaseSave the final file as your work file and then again under a new name as final version.Select all cell in the General Database, Copy and then and Paste Special => As values.This will reduces the file size and speed up the tool.To redo your translation you need to use the work file.

Before sending to customerProtect General database and Translation with a passwordTools => Protect => Protect sheet

Hide General database,Translation and other Conversion tabs that you do not need

Tools => Macro => Visual Basic Editor

Select the worksheet General Databaseand modify the property "Visible"to "-2 - xlVeryHidden"

Select the worksheet Translationand modify the property "Visible"to "-2 - xlVeryHidden"

Close Macro window

In the tab Index, remove the button that you do not needand translate the title

Remove the tab "Read me" (this tab)

Zip the file before sending it in order reduce the sizeThe final file is compressed from ~10 MB to ~1,5 MB
