Note: Once co-coordinators from each participating country have been identified, a personal username and password will be issued to them by PAROS administrator.

Check this box if your site does not collect quality of life data

Patient Health & Quality of Life

(EQ-5D) EQ-5D is a standardised instrument for use as a

measure of health outcome.

Consist of five dimensions (mobility, self-care, usual activities, pain/discomfort, anxiety/depression)

Applicable to a wide range of health conditions and treatments.

Provides a single index score for health status.

To do a case search….Click on ePAROS PAROS search

Select the date of incident and click ‘Search’

To edit a case….Click the paper/pencil icon under ‘Edit Form’ to view the data for editing.

3. Generating Reports

To create Utstein survival report:1. Click on Report Utstein Survival report

2. Select the date you want the report to show and click ‘Generate Report’

To generate call times report1. Click on Reports Call Times

2. Select the type of call time and the date you want to include in the report. Next, click ‘Generate Report’

To export data into excel:1. Data can be exported into excel by doing an

initial search

4. Customizing Dashboard

Dashboard is the layout of PAROS home page a user see upon successful log in.

A user can customize this dashboard to include number of cases being entered by weekly or monthly, and to track incomplete records.

To add items to dashboard:1. Click on dashboard builder

2. Select the item you want to add to your dashboard e.g. Agency Productivity – Volume by Month (to show the number of cases entered for specific EMS agency or participating site. Then click on ‘Add Content’.

3. The item will appear on the dashboard as shown below

4. Repeat Step 2 to add in more items to the dashboard.

5. Click ‘Back to myDashboard’ once adding of items is completed

5. Tracking Incomplete Cases

• You are now able to see the number of forms that require hospital outcomes from your dashboard. Click on the number to view the individual forms.

• To enter hospital outcomes data for a case, select the paper and pencil icon on the far right of the screen.

• After clicking on the paper and pencil icon, the screen will show the form for that case. Scroll all the way down to the ‘Hospital Outcomes’ section and fill in the necessary fields.

• If patient is discharged at 30th day post arrest or still in hospital upon 30 days, do complete the ‘Patient’s Quality of Life’ section. Check ‘Unknown’ if you are unable to provide this information

• After the outcomes are completely entered, click on Save.

• When the record has been saved with no errors, you can select “Home” from the toolbar in the upper left hand corner of the screen. This will take you back to your dashboard. The case you have entered outcomes for will have disappeared from your dashboard and you can move on to the next case.
