19

CONCLUSION

20

There are some exiting insights!

Most of the respondents did launch an Enterprise 2.0 project within their

company AND many of them are quite satisfiedabout it...

Launching such a project is a good triggerto launch other ones! (larger deployment of

the same tool or implementation of another one)

Respondents’ organizations seem to be on the good wayto fit Enterprise 2.0

basic components (in terms of work organization & culture, HR, KM, innovation etc.)

Enterprise 2.0 tools are the most suitable for “mature” organizations... but less

mature ones are quite receptive too!

Relevancy and appeal of such tools depend on an organization’s purpose &

“Enterprise 2.0 readiness”

21

But let’s keep in mind that...

Respondents to this survey may be particularly “Enterprise 2.0 minded”

Collaborative spacespopularity may be biased by the massive deployment of

SharePoint within any types of companies (and then not only for “pure” Enterprise 2.0

purposes)

Appeal for Enterprise 2.0 projects is well there but budget seems to be a quite

sensitive issue

It is not only sufficient to be “Enterprise 2.0 ready” to succeed, change

managementeffort is still of great value

Contemporary organizations remain quite e-mail minded and local

managerssomewhat resistant

22

Nevertheless...

Enterprise 2.0 & Online collaboration projects are for everyone...

Large companies but also SME’s

Companies from the private sector... but from the public

sectortoo !

All levels & positionsare concerned within the organization !

(top & middle managers, marketeers, IT people... as well as HR representatives!)
