Jacksonville State University (JSU) is a public, comprehensive institution that provides edu-cational, cultural, and social experiences for a diverse undergraduate and graduate student population. Located in northeast Alabama, USA, JSU was founded in 1883. JSU offers a wide range of programs, including forty-five under-graduate programs and twenty-four graduate programs. The English Language Institute (ELI) at JSU also offers an opportunity to students who wish to learn English as a second language. With quality education and services, afford-able tuition and living costs, and comfortable weather in the southeastern United States, JSU attracts nearly 10,000 students from the United States and from all over the world.

Conditional Admission to JSU via the English Language InstituteStudents who do not have the minimum English proficiency test score required for admission to JSU may be conditionally admit-ted to the university by attending the ELI and successfully completing the program. After successful completion, students may enroll in degree-earning classes at JSU.
