Imagine you were Bhikhu. Write a letter to your friend how your laziness cost you a
fortune. Tell him the importance of learning the value of time.
lazy : crazy breezy
village : marriage carriage
young : bring strong
Dear Maurya,
How are you ? I am not fine here as I have lost a great fortune because of my
laziness.
You know, my friend, I am a very lazy boy. In spite of my father's repeated
counsellings and warnings, I have not mended my ways. One day he told me about
a great fortune that he had hidden for me. The fortune, which was actually a bag of
gold coins, was shown to me by my father.
As I was lazy, I went on postponing my visit to the treasure, hidden in a burrow
on a tree's trunk. At last after many days, I went to the tree to take my treasure (my
father had already died). There was nothing there. Obviously, a thief might have
stolen the bag of treasure.
So, my dear friend, laziness is the worst quality that anyone can possess. You
must learn the value as well as the importance of time.
Reply soon.
Yours lovingly,
Bhikhu
think : thank thief
touch : rich catch
