The Baw Baw Frog eats small insects like Flies, gnats, dragon flies, and moths. The Baw Baw Frog eat insects that can hurt us, so Baw Baw Frogs are very

helpful.

The Baw Baw Frog lives in swamps, lakes, and uninhabited areas. They also live onislands with many other animals.

The little but interesting Baw BawFrog can do many things. This Frog can jump 5 feet forward and eat about 10 pounds of food each week!!

This poor animal is endangered because people are knocking the down rain forests where this animal lives. We can save thislittle creature by trying to make people stop using wood from the forest to make things.

The dibbler is the size of a rat.It ways 40 to 145 grams.

The dibbler lives on a small island in Australia. The dibbler does not have much known about where it lives. It probably needs to live somewhere else because it doesn't live long.

The dibbler is a carnivore that eats bugs mostly. It sometimes eats baby animals. The dibbler is small so it doesn’t have a large diet.

The small dibbler runs quickly for its size. If we could run that fastfor our size we would probably be faster than cheetahs. The dibber has the ability of catching its food easily.

We should tell farmers not to take land from the island where thedibblers live. We should get many in captivity and build theirpopulation.

If it doesn’t get enough warmth during hibernation it could freeze to death. It is preyed on by many foxes.

The Broad Headed Snake

By Tom W.

The Broad Headed Snake eats lizards and mice

The Broad Headed Snake is 90- 50 cm Long.

The Broad Headed is black with yellow stripes.

The Broad Headed Snake got it’s name from it’s big head.

The Broad Headed Snake can have 8- 20 eggs at a time.

The Broad Headed Snake is endangered because people are taking over it’s habitat. I would try to save it by telling people how important the Broad Headed Snake really is.

A koalas actions are different than ours because when they are left alone they mind their own business, but when they feel that someone is bothering them they might scratch with their long claws.

Koalas live in small or big trees that are called Eucalyptus trees. Koalas are also made for climbing those trees.

A grown koala reaches a length of 24 to 33 inches. The koalas also have a life span of 13 to 18 years.

Koalas look like little cuddly bears because they have a big black nose, they have fluffy hair, cute ears and have a nickname called “The Austrailian teddy bear.”

Koalas are endangered because people cut down their homes, which are in the the trees, for wood. The koalas don’t have anywhere to live.

THAT’S THE ENDANGERED KOALA

Golden bandicoots have a small head, a fat body, small ears, and weighs about 23.4 oz.

Golden bandicoots have goldish brown fur, a black nose, and eyes.

They defend their territory and sleep during the day.

We can save them by taking them to Australian zoos.

They’re dying because the European red fox eat them and from competition from rabbits.

Golden Bandicoots live underground in Australia.

The Numbat should be saved because they should not just die out. Also the Numbat is an anteater so it gets rid of some ants that could infest the whole world if the Numbat dies out. The Numbat should be saved.

Australian Peregrines are the largest peregrine falcons. Baby Peregrine falcons can survive without constant care. It was one of the Egyptians favorite animals. The peregrine falcon is the fastest bird in the world with speeds over 220 k.p.h. being recorded. Did you know the peregrine falcon lives almost entirely by eating other birds? It is so fierce its prey scrambles all over when it is spotted. It swoops down at its prey at speeds up to 300 km per hour.

This animal lives mostly in Australia. It also inhabits every other continent except for Antarctica.

The big reason that peregrine falcons are endangered is that they are eating dingo traps with poison in them by accident. And DDT is thin shelling the eggs. Which makes the eggs (the chicks only protection) too soft to keep strong winds from hurting the chicks inside.

I believe we can save peregrine falcons by making new dingo traps.. We could even make signs saying save the peregrine falcon. Or we could ask rangers to buy more land. Another thing we could do is have people stop selling guns. We could also keep the eggs hard. We could make a forest for the peregrine falcon. One more thing we could do to save the peregrine falcon is by taking them to a forest preserve in Australia.

Southern Right Whales are almost identical to their cousins. The Southern Right Whales do not have a dorsal fin, they have a V-shaped blowhole.

Southern Right whales eat krill and plankton. They usually eat 400 kilograms a day!!!!

They use their waving flippers, their head in the water and their strong tails that helps them float on the water taking them the direction of where the wind is blowing.

The Northern Hairy Nosed Wombat looks cool. It has mainly brown fur with gray, fawn, and black. It even has brown patches around its eyes. Northern Hairy Nosed Wombats got their names from their nose which is covered in short stubby hairs. These Wombats have style.

Northern Hairy Nosed Wombats eat you know. The Northern Hairy Nosed Wombat eats herbs , roots and coarse grasses.

Even though the Northern Hairy Nosed Wombat is the best animal it is endangered. This wombat is Austrailia’s most endangered mammal. The reason they’re becoming endangered is Buffel Grasses has infested the native grasses the feed on and it has reduced those grasses they feed on.

The Northern Hairy Nosed Wombat is being saved at Epping Forest National Park in Queensland. Today there are 113 wombats, but in 1993 there were only 65. These wombats need to be saved before they will never be seen again
