Keynote Speaker Thursday 9:15 am
Amber Mac
Amber Mac(Arthur) started her career in
San Francisco and Boston during the dot-com
boom. She spent four years in the technology
start-up trenches, as a strategist for Razorfish
and Director of Marketing for an e-procurement
software company.
Amber left the start-up world to join Microsoft
to build one of the first female-focused lifestyle
portals. In 2006, she started her own digital
agency. The company’s first client was world-
renowned business coach, Tony Robbins, and now
includes Microsoft, Google, GE, Paypal, Nintendo,
Canada Goose, Fast Company, and many more
leading organizations. In 2010, she wrote the
national bestselling business book Power
Friending and, in 2016, co-wrote the Amazon
bestseller Outsmarting Your Kids Online. She
recently began co-hosting a new podcast series
called Marketing Disrupted.
Amber talks about relentless adaptation and
the accelerating pace of corporate culture in
the digital economy. At the forefront of the
digital revolution, she helps companies adapt
to, anticipate, and capitalize on lightning-quick
changes — from Artificial Intelligence, to social
media, to the Internet of Things; from marketing,
to customer service, to digital parenting and
beyond. It’s not about innovation, she says; it’s
about adaptation.

Keynote Speaker Thursday 10:30 am
Jeremiah Brown
Jeremiah Brown won an Olympic silver medal as a
member of the Canadian men’s eight rowing team
at the London 2012 Olympic Games. A former
commercial banker with a big dream, he is one
of few Olympians ever to have started learning
his sport only four years before winning a medal
at the Olympics. Jeremiah’s book, The 4 Year
Olympian, spent five weeks as the #1 bestselling
sports memoir in Canada. His story has been
featured on CBC, CTV, Rogers Sportsnet, the
Globe and Mail, the Toronto Star and USA Today.
Jeremiah seems to operate on four-year cycles
of reinvention: from commercial banker to novice
rower, from novice rower to Olympic medallist,
from Olympian to Canadian sport leader, and
from Canadian sport leader to author and
speaker. Through each reinvention, he has come
to learn that resilience is the skill that underpins
them all.
To Jeremiah Brown, reinvention and resilience are
the lifeblood of progress and, as such, he’s spent
his life harnessing the power of resilience to adapt
to new environments and overcome setbacks.

Michael Landsberg
Not one to shy away from anything, TSN mainstay
Michael Landsberg is one of Canada’s most vocal
advocates for mental health awareness. Relating
his own struggle with depression, he explains

together, we can beat stigma, fight back, and
save lives.
Landsberg is an ambassador for Bell Let’s Talk,
an initiative focused on raising awareness and

His documentary, Darkness and Hope: Depression,
Sports and Me, was nominated for a Canadian
Screen Award for Best History or Biography
Documentary Program or Series. The Canadian
Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health
also named Landsberg one of its Champions of
Mental Health. For his longstanding dedication to
promoting mental health awareness, Landsberg

Up. Twice nominated for the Gemini Award for
