Just-in-Location Learning (JILL)

A New Learning Paradigm This paradigm will empower lifelong

learners to acquire knowledge based upon their location and natural curiosity at their own pace.

Learners are given the opportunity to seek information based on their geographical location.

JILL The facilitator is a mobile device

featuring location technologies. The learners dictate what they want to

know in reference to their location. They are in control of the line of inquiry

they choose to pursue and will be subject to the type of information available on the “location specific knowledge base”.

JILL Examples JILL may provide the

history of a building to an active learner. The geographical

location and surrounding area of the learner is displayed

JILL Examples The user faces a

building JILL identifies it. JILL displays topics

for learning opportunities.

JILL Examples The user selects a

topic. Information is

provided just-in-location.
