PRINCIPLES OF VOXYPersonalized & AdaptiveEvery Voxy learner receives a unique course.

Learners begin Voxy by identifying their skills, goals, and interests.

Using these selections, Voxy constructs individually tailored courses.

As learners use Voxy, the difficulty of lessons dynamically adapts to their evolving proficiency.

5

PRINCIPLES OF VOXYReal World EnglishLearners progress best when they are exposed to the English used in everyday situations.

With Voxy, learners can:

• Watch interactive video lessons

• Create karaoke-style audio lessons using their own music from iTunes

• Access thousands of text and image lessons drawn from our world-famous content partners

Voxy’s Content Partners

Activity SequencesVoxy’s learning activities offer practice with reading, listening, spelling, grammar, and vocabulary.

Learners complete activities focused on discrete skills depending on their needs and performance.

7

STRUCTURE OF A VOXY COURSE

1. A learner’s Voxy course is made up of units, lessons, and activities.

2. Each unit is based around a theme (such as Finance, Health, Advance My Career, Ordering at a Restaurant, etc.).

Learners can study up to three units at a time

3. Voxy currently has 18 lessons in every Voxy unit, and more units are being added every month.

4. The learner completes 3 activities within each lesson.

9

Lessons can be based on a video, audio, text, image or conversation resource

Each activity takes about three minutes to complete

TUTORINGOne-on-one sessions via Google Hangout with private tutors is one of the most important parts of learning with Voxy.

Learners can schedule tutoring sessions at dates and times that are convenient to them.

Tutoring is the best way to practice speaking and improve pronunciation

11

Each tutoring session has a focus selected by the learner: Conversation, Oral Fluency, Grammar, Writing or Role Play.

After the session is over, the learner receives quantitative and qualitative feedback from the tutor.

PRACTICEThe ‘Practice’ section gives the learner access to thousands of hours of video-, audio-, text-, image- and conversation-based lessons.

Here, the learner can browse individual lessons for ones that interest him.

New lessons are added to Voxy every day

PERFORMANCE

13

‘Performance’ is where learners track the progress they are making in English.

This is also where learners can access the Voxy Proficiency Assessment, one of the most important features of the program.

VOXY PROFICIENCY ASSESSMENTThe Voxy Proficiency Assessment (VPA) is designed to provide an objective measure of a learner’s current level of English.

A learner’s VPA score can be calibrated to other prominent assessments (TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, etc.). The VPA consists of 63 total questions in 3 sections and should take 30-45 minutes for a learner to complete.

1. Grammar 3. Reading Comprehension

A new VPA is added to Voxy every 3 months to easily track progress in language skill aquisition over time

2. Listening Comprehension
