Discover Germany’s exciting capital and European hub for business, science and culture. Take innovative courses in

engineering, architecture/urban design, business and communication at the Technical University of Berlin’s International Summer School. Courses are taught in English and include both theoretical and practical training. Course site visits include local companies and organizations. Experience cultural activities and excursions as well as the city’s renowned museums, historical monuments and lively pubs.

PROGRAM OPTIONSStudy abroad during the summer−early July to mid-August−an excellent time of year to experience Berlin.

ACADEMIC HIGHLIGHTS• Engineering courses include satellite design, crash prevention, energy efficiency,

programming in Java, and precision engineering measurement and design• Architecture and urban design majors can choose between designing community

spaces for refugees in Berlin or studying urban walkability and streetscape design• Business and communication courses include how to launch a startup and

understanding the impact of social media on corporations, politics and society

TRIPS AND ACTIVITIES• Excursions and cultural activities include a sightseeing river boat tour and guided

walking tour of Berlin• Visits to the Bundestag and Sanssouci Palace in Potsdam• Evening barbeques and weekend shopping trips

• Optional tours of Berlin’s cultural life and weekend trips outside Berlin are also available

STAFF ABROADFriendly UCEAP staff abroad will introduce you to the local culture and help with academics, housing and safety questions.
