Turkish Educational System consists of mainly two groups;
1. Formal Education
2. Non- formal Education
Formal Education
It is a system where students at the same age and on the same educational level areeducated at a school environment.
It consists of pre primary elementary secondary schools and universitiesIt consists of pre, primary, elementary, secondary schools and universities.
Pre-School Education
It is a volunteeraly education type where the children at the ages changing between3-5 attend.
Primary School
Students at the ages between 6-10 are supposed to attent primary school classesand it is a must for both female and male students at this age interval. Primaryschools are foundated by the government.
Elementary School
Students at the ages between 10-13 are supposed to attent secondary schoolclasses and it is a must for both female and male students at this age interval. Secondary schools are foundated by the government. y y g
Primary Home School
The citizens, who are graduated from primary schools but are not able to attendsecondary school classes for some reasons, chooses this type of education. There issecondary school classes for some reasons, chooses this type of education. There is no school, no classes and no teachers in home schooling method.

It ıs depended on the elementary school and diveded into general, vocationalhighschool categories and both are limitied to 4 years.
Secondary Home School
It is the same type of method with primary home school.
Higher Education
Higher education is dependent on secondary school education and consist of allthe institutions where at least 2 years of education is offered.. Yükseköğretim y ğkurumları;
Universities, Facultiesr, Institutes, Conservatories Conservatories, Technical Collages, Research and practise centers.
Non-formal Education
Non-formal education covers the activities besides the formal education.It’spurpose is to educate citizens who have never taken any formal education, quittaking formal education or still taking formal education.
