Audi’s vision is to re-define standards in the automotive
industry.
Challenge: Audi challenged Salmon for ways to put
customer needs first at every digital touchpoint.
Solution: Salmon implemented the Online Finance
Calculator, followed by the Small Business Calculator, as
part of a range of solutions to enhance site functionality.
Outcome: To date, over 6 million personalised and
detailed finance quotes for specific models have been
obtained by business and retail customers.
AUDI.CO.UK DFSCONTRACT.CO.UK
DFS have been making furniture for 45 years and are
the nation’s sofa experts with over 100 stores in the UK.
Challenge: DFS challenged Salmon to provide a complete
furniture solution for independent and large hotel groups.
Solution: Salmon designed, developed and now supports
this modern, new website, that inspires browsing by
strong imagery across the customer journey. Optimised
for tablets, the site is full of rich content, including case
histories and featured products.
Outcome: DFS can now target trade customers with
a customised website whilst sharing data assets such
as catalogue information with its consumer site. Trade
customers can now search the widest range of contract
furniture in the UK.
Premier Farnell is a B2B distributor of technology products and
solutions for electronic system design, maintenance and repair.
Challenge: A new global web platform serving Europe,
the Americas and Asia Pacific.
Solution: A 2-year development and rollout programme with
collaboration on design and customer experience, analysis,
end-to-end architecture including front-end, middle-tier and
back-end integration.
Outcome: Facilitated seamless global operations with
a B2B ecommerce re-platform, with Salmon adding
“huge value throughout the programme, working well to
overcome significant challenges and deliver a fantastic
end result”.
PREMIERFARNELL.COM
The UK’s leading specialist warranty provider of kitchen
appliances, boilers and consumer electronics.
Challenge: To develop a new ecommerce site supporting
8.8 million UK customers, enhancing their customer
journey and generating an increase in conversions.
Solution: A fully responsive site available across multiple
platforms as well as customised sites for partners such
as Sky and Sony, plus new ways of working with OEMs
online.
Outcome: A scalable solution easily rolled out across key
international markets, supported by multiple go-to-market
partner strategies; generating reduced operating costs,
increased sales and customer loyalty.

SAINSBURYS.CO.UK
Sainsbury’s is the UK’s 2nd largest supermarket chain and
operates over 1,200 stores.
Challenge: An online grocery commerce re-platform with
the capacity to double annual sales.
Solution: Salmon implemented a new platform (migrating
8m accounts and 12m orders) that provides customers
with a truly connected experience, with data shared
across channels whether from in-store, online or mobile.
Outcome: A faster and more efficient shopping experience
for customers, with exciting developments on the horizon.
For Sainsbury’s it offers the capacity to double its £1bn
annual sales online. Measured by annual sales, it’s the
world’s largest online grocery commerce re-platform.
LLOYDSPHARMACY.COM
A leading UK community pharmacy and healthcare provider,
and part of Celesio, an international wholesale and retail
company.
Challenge: To develop a strategy to achieve aggressive
online and multichannel objectives across the business
over 5 years.
Solution: Following an evaluation of the ecommerce
operation, the infrastructure and existing business
processes and teams, Salmon made strategic and tactical
recommendations as part of a roadmap which focused on
increased sales, improved operational efficiency and an
enhanced customer experience.
Outcome: The comprehensive roadmap helped
LloydsPharmacy to deliver its multichannel strategy and meet
its growth targets to increase sales year-on-year by 50%.
PUNCHTAVERNS.COM
Punch was formed in 1997 and now has around 3,300 pubs
across the UK.
Challenge: Punch wanted to enhance the online experience
for its publicans and implement a more manageable system
across the business.
Solution: As part of a complex B2B commerce solution,
Salmon replaced the existing Punch Buying Club website
and call centre solution with a new digital platform built
on Magento Enterprise. Utilising DevOps, with testing and
deploying on-the-go, delivery was fast with issues fixed in
real-time.
Outcome: The new system will offer customers an enhanced
multichannel B2C style experience across devices and a
bespoke Order Management System to help Punch manage its
customers’ experience across channels.
ARGOS.CO.UK
The UK’s largest general merchandise retailer and second
most visited retail site.
Challenge: Make Argos’ 12,000-product catalogue as
visible and accessible as possible from the home page.
Solution: A cutting-edge website programme to help drive
Argos’ multichannel with major improvements in the site’s
usability and performance.
Outcome: Helped increase multichannel sales
penetration by 26% of total sales in 10 years, with
internet sales accounting for 44% of sales (up from 2%
10 years earlier).
