EBSCOhost Databases
Access to bibliographic and/or full-text resources from more than 30 online databases such ATLASerials, Academic Search Premier, Education Full-Text, Business Search Premier.
Access points:
www.library.hc.edu or
www.hc.edu under Current Student tab or
your Populi account at hc.populiweb.com under
Library and then Links
For access from OnCampus, click onthe EBSCOhost linkunder Databases.
For access from OffCampus, click on theDATABASE ACCESSFROM OFF CAMPUSlink at the end of thedatabase list
For access from your Populi account, click on the Library tab at the very top of the page, then on the File tab. Choose the database that meets your research needs.
When accessing the database from off campus on the library webpage, a login will be required. When prompted for a username, enter saints\campus computer loginFollowed by your campus computer password.
For example: stulogin12
User: saints\stulogin12Password: studentpassword
You can also access the databases from any internet connection by clicking
on the library tab from your Populi homepage.
Then click on the Links tab to bring up the page with the Library webpage link and links to the Hillsdale databases.
From the EBSCOhost page, select EBSCOhost Web
To search within a single database, click on the database name.To select more than one database to search, check the box next to the databases wanted and click Continue.
From Advanced Search, you can search in a multiple number offields from a combination of the drop down menus.
You may also choose toswitch to Basic Search
In Basic Search you may search by a simple keyword or by an exact phrase
You may also switch backto Advanced Search.
Limit your search results.
You can search bymultiple subjects
Limit the search to full text, scholarly articles, and/or by using dates
You can also select an option from the drop down bar to refine your search by title, author, subject terms, etc.
Results can also be limited after a search has been conducted
Click on the Title of the article to get a Detailed Record.
