Pacific means peaceful,

Earth’s biggest sea;

This deepest of oceans

Is as blue as can be.

Atlantic

Atlantic means strong,

Its waters so vast;

Across its waves

Has sailed our past.

Pacific

Indian

Indian is only

In the southern hemisphere;

It alone doesn’t touch

This continent we hold dear.

Pacific

Arctic Arctic

Arctic is the smallest

And the coldest of the four;

Its icy polar waters

Frost our northern door.

Warm, cold or frozen

They’re beautiful to behold.

Earth’s four oceans—
