CEN, the European Commijee for StandardizaIon, is an associaIonthat brings together the NaIonal StandardizaIon Bodies of 34Europeancountries.CENisoneofthreeEuropeanStandardizaIonOrganizaIons(togetherwith CENELEC and ETSI) that have been officially recognized by theEuropeanUnionandbytheEuropeanFreeTradeAssociaIon(EFTA)asbeingresponsible fordevelopinganddefiningvoluntarystandardsatEuropeanlevel.CENprovidesaplasormforthedevelopmentofEuropeanStandardsand other technical documents in relaIon to various kinds ofproducts,materials,servicesandprocesses.CENsupportsstandardizaIonacIviIes inrelaIontoawiderangeoffields and sectors including: air and space, chemicals, construcIon,consumer products, defence and security, energy, the environment,food and feed, health and safety, healthcare, ICT, machinery,materials, pressure equipment, services, smart living, transport andpackaging.

ICT Professionalism and Digital Competences

CENTC428isresponsibleforallaspectsofstandardizaIonrelatedtomaturingtheICTProfessioninallsectors,publicandprivate.Thisincludes,ataminimum,acIvityrelatedtofourmajorbuildingblocksofICTProfessionalism:(1) Competences(standardizaIonofacommonlanguageofdigitalandICTProfessionalcompetences,skillsandknowledgeappliedinalldomains);

(2) educaIonandcerIficaIon;(3) CodeofEthics;(4) BodyofKnowledge(BoK).

ThemainareasofstandardizaIonwhereCENTC428willdevelopitsacIvityareasfollows:•  DefiniIon,maintenance and evoluIon of digital Professional competences in all sectors, always looking atcurrent business adopIon and new emerging technologies and trends as they become relevant to the ICTprofessionasawhole(e.g.security,fintech,cloud,blockchain);

•  InteracIonwithdifferentframeworks;•  Curriculaguidance;•  ICTProfessionalRoleProfiles;•  Guidanceforassessingthepublishedstandards;•  BodyofKnowledge(BoK)forICT•  DevelopmentofaneducaIonandcerIficaIonmodelrelatedtoe-CF;
