Principal’s Report ~ Milly Stone Thank you staff, students, parents and carers for an amazing term. It has been very busy but extremely productive and, more importantly, the children have had an exceptional term of learning.
Band Camp What a brilliant learning opportunity for the children. The music that the children have experienced during the three days and their musical skills have developed enormously. The choir children enjoyed learning a song from the musical “The Greatest Showman”. I look forward to their camp concert, which will be held on Wednesday May 9 at Pacific Hills Community Hall, commencing at 6.00pm. Students will need to arrive at 5.00pm for a final rehearsal before the concert. Please see the photos on page 3 and the flyer on Page 5 of this newsletter.
Buddies Show K-6 This was an anti-bullying and cyber safety program that uses educational theatre to provide simple strategies all children can use to develop positive and healthy friendships.
Dural Colour Run Just a reminder that Friday is the final day for sending in money to the office. Mrs Norrish and Mr Martin will announce the winning classes and children on Friday. Thank you for your support. I will be able to tell you the final amount in the first week of Term 2.
School Disco Don’t forget our school disco tonight. The entry cost is $8 which includes glow shapes. The P&C are providing a sausage sizzle at no cost.
K-2 times are 4.30pm – 5.30pm. 3 – 6 times are 5.45pm – 7.00pm. As it going to be very hot today, we have arranged for cold bottled water to be available for purchase for $1.

Vacation Care
Dear parents please note that we are completely full for Monday 16th – Apple Picking at Bilpin. We still have a few spots left for the Magician show, bubble ball soccer and golf. If you are still looking for something awesome for your children to do these holidays, then register with Jigsaw OOSH as soon as possible.
Before and Afternoon Care We are at maximum capacity on Wednesday afternoons and we only have a couple of placements for Mondays and Thursdays as well. If you know that you require care for your children, please contact the centre on 9653 9331 to reserve your place. In the mornings, we have now reached 40 for some days so please make sure that you let the centre know if you are booking your children in prior to attending. A simple phone call or email will ensure that we can accommodate them. I would like to thank our wonderful parents for your continued support in Term 1. Your input and friendly suggestions have made our OOSH centre a fun place for children to come. Take care during the holiday period and we look forward to seeing you again in Term 2.
