National Immunization Awareness Month
National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM) is an annual observance in August to highlight the
importance of vaccination for people of all ages. Visit CDC’s NIAM webpage for resources to assist you in
communicating to parents and patients about immunization during August and throughout the year.
Webinar: Strengthening vaccine confidence in pediatric offices during the COVID-19 pandemic
Save the date for a webinar for healthcare and public health professionals on August 19th from 3-4pm.
CDC will discuss strategies for ensuring safe well visits and building vaccine confidence among parents of

“Getting Adolescent Vaccination Back on Track” Resources
National HPV Vaccination Roundtable created a suite of resources to help get adolescent vaccination back
on track this summer. Resources include short videos for health systems and parents, infographics, and a
webpage with resources to help guide decision making and processes during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Instagram Q&A answering questions from parents of young children about childhood vaccines
CDC will host an Instagram Q&A for parents of young children on August 24th from 12-2pm.
CDC experts will provide real-time answers to questions about keeping up with childhood vaccines during
the COVID-19 pandemic. Please promote this event to parents and tune in on CDC’s Instagram feed (Best
viewed in Edge or Chrome)
