MS Teresa Kosmala THE MAYOR OF CZELADŹ undertook activities towards

establishing cooperation with the town of Mallow in Ireland ( near Cork). Firstly, the application form for the preparatory visit which we submitted to the National Agency for the Lifelong Learning Program was accepted and our 4-day stay between 14 and 17 October 2011

in Ireland was financed . Our aim was to write a Partnership project that would be designed for the University of the Third

Age functioning in Czeladź.

We received an invitation from Mr Paul Quinn, the

director of the YOUR INTERNATIONAL TRAINING

in Mallow near Cork.

On Saturday 15th October we visited a private language college -Sunfort College in Liscarrol, where we learnt about its offer and examined its well equipped interioir .

In the afternoon on Saturday we visited the Nano Nagle Centre in Ballygriffin – an institution which was very important for us as a

future partner in the project.Mr Paul Quinn accompanied us . The principal of the Centre for

educating the young and adults is Indian.

Our Sunday we participated in a City math and Science Fair in Mallow and it turned out to be extraordinary fruitful. We met some very important persons in the region, we talked about future cooperation with the Mayor of Mallow, the chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce

and the Minister for Enterprize and Employment. We are going to undertake common activities concerning European projects, partnership between the towns and cooperation in business

enterprising. We do hope our decisions made during our meetings will enable us to create future actions

The weather was nice so on Sunday in the afternoon we went shopping to Cork, We had a walk across the city. We visited also a small city where the president of the USA had a short stay during his visit to Ireland.The city is

decorated with Americans flags and we had a meal at the Obama Cafe . In the photo on the right – our friend Mr Paul Quinn.

On the last day of our stay , on 17th Oct. on Monday, before our trip to Poland we went to the institution for disable people – the St.Joseph`s Foundation in Charleville. We had a walk around the area, we visited sport facilities and the section for manufacturing

different products by disable people.

All the people we met were given leaflets about Czeladź and gifts from Poland. Among the gifts were presentations about Czeladź, Silesian Region and the Polish Presidency in the EU. The Irish firends were

extremely interested in investment offer of Czeladź and cooperation within European projects. It was worth requesting the National Agency for the Program „Longlife learning” to finance the preparatory visit in Ireland. Mr Paul Quinn,the possessor of the YOUR INTERNATIONAL TRAINING company in Mallow ,
