Operation Cleansweep2014-2015

Purpose

Offer a safe, convenient and cost effective mechanism for agricultural operations, golf courses and pest control companies to properly dispose of canceled, suspended and unusable pesticides (CSUP).

History

In 2000, the Florida Legislature appropriated $300,000 and authorized the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to implement a program to collect and dispose of CSUP.

Program continued through 2010 2011 – 2013 Legislature did not

appropriate funding. 2014 Legislature appropriated $100,000

through June 30, 2015.
