Awomen(RociaMaizGracia)comeshomefromworktofindherfrontdooropen,thishasneverhappenedtoherbefore.Sheiscertainthatshelockedthedoorbeforeasshegoesintothehouseshestartstonoticedoorsopeningbythemselves.Itisasifshewasnotaloneinthehouse.

RociaMaizGraciahasbeenhearingvoicesandfeelinglikesomeoneisfollowingherbuteverytimeshelooksaroundthereisnoonethere.ShehavepreviouslysufferedfroHallucinationbuthasbeengainingtreatmentwhichhashelpedher.Couldtheprevioushistoryofhallucinationbethecauseofherhearingandseeingthingsorissheactuallybeinghauntedbysomethingorsomeone?ThesupernaturalforcethatseemstobehauntingRociatendtousedoorstogainattentionandmakeitseemasifsomeoneisphysicallythere.OnedayRociacomeshometofindherfrontdooropen,

knowingfullywellthatshehadlockedthedoorwhenshehadleftforwork.Sheentersherhouseanddecidedtogetsomethingtoprotectherfromwhatevermaybeinthehouse,shegoestothekitchenandreachesforaknifeassheexploresthehousetofindoutwhatishappening.

Howlongdidtheprojecttake?Thisprojecthadbeenunderdevelopmentforoverfourmonthsanditisfartosaythatwillallthechangesthathavetakenplaceandobstaclesthathavebeenovercome,theprocessinallwasgreat.Intermsofthefilmingdaysittookaboutaweektofilm,thiswasdifficultduetothefactthatthefilmingtookplaceaboard.Inpreproductionresearchwiseittooktwomonthsofwatchinghorrorfilmsanalysingtheminordertoproducesomethingdifferentbutwiththesamecodesandconventionsofanexsitinghorrorfilm.Whatwasyourinspirationforthefilm?MyinspirationcamefromthefactthatIhavealwayshadaninterestinhorrorandthrillerandIwantedtocreateamediaproductthatrepresentedthat.Ipreviouslyhadaninterestincreatingdocumentarieshoweverrecentlythereseemstobeadocumentaryaboutanythingandeverything.PersonallyIfeltthat

makingahorrorfilmwouldbeachallengeandIwouldbeabletoreflectontheprocessafterandseeifcreatingshorthorrorfilmswasadirectionIwantedtoperuseinthefuture.Ilookedandfilmslike‘Rec,Saw,Psycho,theunitedandThegrudgeforfurtherinspiration.Alsotheeventsthatpeoplegothroughintheireverydaylives.

Mediahasalwaysbeenaninterestofmineandthehorrorgenreinparticularinterestmeinasensethatpeopleabletobeplaceoutsideoftheircomfortzoneorevenputintoeverydaysituationswhichtheyneverthoughttheywouldbein.HorrorisagenrewhichIfeelplayswiththemind.Thearedifferenttypesofhorrorsandhorrorcanalsobejoinedtogetherwithothergenrestocreateahybridgenre.Peoplehavegoneontoacceptfearandwatchinghorrorfilmshavebeenanormtothosewhomwatch

itonaregularbasisorthepeoplewhomtendtonotbeafraidofmuch.WhenIwasyoungerIwasalwaysexcitedtowatchhorrorcartoonsforexample‘ScoobyDoo’.Thisintroducedmetocharacterswhich,IwasmeanttobeafraidoffbutneverreallygotthechancetobescaredofthembecauseIfoundthemsoentertaining,fromthecostumestheyworetothepalemakeupontheirface.
