“ Smoking is the cause of around 86% of all lung cancers”

“Those living in areas of socioeconomic deprivation are 2.5 times more likely to

be diagnosed with lung Cancer”

How can we tackle those most at risk?

.....work with services who have a proven track record of engaging with people from areas of deprivation

Keep Well & Stop Smoking Practitioners

.........engage with those living in SIMD class 1 & 2 areas

.......engage with smokers

.......gain support from our colleagues in radiology

......and our colleagues in information technology

Lung Cancer

Any Signs & Symptoms?A Haemoptysis (Any)Unexplained or persistent (i.e. >3 weeks):B Cough (persistent/changed)C Chest**/shoulder pain D HoarsenessE Dyspnoea F Finger Clubbing (new)G Weight loss H Fatigue in smoker >50 yrs Any urgent symptoms including: Haemoptysis; Chest pain; Acute Shortness of Breath should be investigated
