We all know that water is very precious. We should not waste water. We all need water to
live. Rain is the main source of water on Earth.
Water problems-
Sometimes during summer we have less rain . This causes water problems.
We cut down the trees which is also responsible for the shortage of rainfall.
Many people in the villages have to walk for a long distance to fetch water.
Various ways to save water-
Avoid leaving tap open while brushing teeth, washing fruits/vegetables under running
water.
We should take as much water in glass as we can drink.
We should use bucket and mug instead of shower for bathing
We should mend the leaking pipe immediately.
Various ways to reuse water
Water left over after washing fruits , vegetables , faces , hands can be collected and
reuse for watering plants, mopping clothes.
Water left over after after washing hands , face can be used in toilets.
Water Cycle
Water in ponds , lakes , rivers and seas evaporates from Earth in the form of vapours to
form clouds. Then it falls on the earth in the form of rain. This rain water goes back in the
water bodies like rivers lakes and seas which again goes up as water vapor and form
clouds . This process is called water cycle.
Wide mouth container contain more water than narrow mouth container.
