Introduction

This task could be used to:

Use different degrees of adjectives

Introduce new vocabulary;

Improve writting and speaking skills

Review the verb, “To Be” and some verb tenses: Simple

Present; Simple Future; Simple Past

Review W- Questions (who, what, which)

Objectives

Teach degree of comparison and superlatives and review the

adjectives

Explore students’ understanding about the different kinds of

adjectives degrees (comparative and superlatives )

Work with antonyms of adjectives

Instructions for Teachers

Review the adjectives students know and their meanings;

Present the situations to your students;

Suggest some possibilities of conversation according to the

picture.

Task 1 Speaking

Give students the opportunity to practice their understanding

•The teacher selects some pictures, magazines, advertisements.

•Tell students that they are going to plan a mini-conversation

using comparative and superlative degree. They should ask and

answer questions such as (who is taller: Nicole Kidman or her

husband? Nicole Kidman is taller than her husband)

•Give them a few minutes to think it over.

Task 2 writing

•Think of a natural place that you have already been and

describe the place using the comparative and superlative

degrees.
