Building Protocol For Use of Facilities
Our Church Body requires that all events held in NorthRidge Church symbolize our faith in Jesus Christ and uphold the testimony of the congregation. In order to reserve the facilities, we ask that you or your immedi-ate family be regular attenders and regular givers to NorthRidge Church.
Music or entertainment used during an event shall have been approved by the pastoral staff. The use of tobacco and intoxicants in any form is not permitted in NorthRidge Church. It is the responsibil-
ity of the renting party to see that this restriction is enforced. Please talk with Custodian Denise Hall and/or office staff before moving equipment, furnishings, or signage. Set-up activities should not interfere with other scheduled events in the facility. Evening events and clean-up must be completed by 10:00 p.m. Facilities must be left in the same condition as, or better than, they were found. Delievery and return of any rented equipment shall be the responsibility of the renting party. All rented ma-
terials, gifts, and other personal effects belonging to the renting party must be removed from the premises directly following the event.
The renting party shall be responsible for all damages done to the church property during the event. Your reservation is not binding until this form is completed, returned to the church office, and approved by
our staff.
I understand and agree to the protocol listed in this packet for the use of facilities at NorthRidge Church. ______________________________________________ ________________________________________ Signature Date

Kitchen Protocol:
Please leave the area you have used nice and clean in order to offer a fresh start for the next person. Please
be courteous, respectful, and kind. Read and follow all signs in the kitchen.
We request advance notice if you intend to use the large gas ovens.
Never leave burners unattended and clean up all grease spills.
Do not cook on the stove if the burner is dirty. Please use another burner area.
Leave a note on the bulletin board if something ran over in the oven.
NorthRidge members should label any food they wish to keep with permanent marker (attached to fridge)
with the contents, date, and owner. If you are not a member of NorthRidge, please take all food with you. If
you want to leave the food for anyone to use, please date and label it “4E.”
Sign and date the “NorthRidge Kitchen & Facility Clean-Up Checklist” when completed and leave it in the
kitchen.
Other Facility Protocol:
Although there is no fee for using the church’s facilities because you are a regular giver to NorthRidge
Church, if you would like to give a general gift please write a check to “NorthRidge Church” and leave it in
the offering box or in the treasurer’s door in the office complex.
Return all items that were used by your group to their original spots.
Before moving candles, snuff or carefully blow out all flames and allow the wax to cool.
Relock all doors.
Shut off all lights (except foyer table lamps).
We recommend renting tablecloths from NCTC (785.284.3666).
To rent a master key, please contact the church office (785.284.3060). Please return the key no later than 24
hours after your event.
Media Protocol:
NorthRidge equipment is to be run only by NorthRidge technicians. Please reference the attached contact
sheet to reserve media technicians for your event. Please schedule early in order to coordinate practice times
and event needs with our technicians.
If you will be showing a slide show, any pictures used with our computer projection system must be scanned
at 300 dpi (pixels) or better. The final image resolution should be 1024 x 768 or larger for optimal viewing.
Anything less will distort on the large screen.
If you will be showing a DVD or movie, you will need to provide a DVD that can be watched through any
DVD player or a movie file (e.g. an MPEG or AVI file extension). If you use this method, please supply the
file four weeks in advance so the technician can test it.
If a NorthRidge videographer cannot be secured for the date of the event, the renter will need to secure an
outside videographer who should provide his/her own equipment. NorthRidge does not build videos/slide
shows.
Honorariums for technicians and/or donating to the Media Team Equipment fund is left to the discretion of
the renter. A suggested honorarium for technicians is $25-$50. A suggested honorarium for custodians is
$50-$75. Gift cards are also appropriate. Gifts should be given directly to the individuals.
