JOBDESCRIPTION:CYLINDERTRUCKDRIVERLOCATION:WESTPALMBEACH,FLORIDA
nexAir,LLCisasupplierofhigh-qualityindustrial,specialty,medicalandbulkgases,dryice,weldingequipment,weldingsuppliesandmedicalequipment.TheCylinderTruckDriverfillsanimportantrolewithinnexAir’soperationsatourfacilityinWestPalmBeach,Florida.Thispositionwilldeliverproductstobusinesses,customerhomes,andothermedicalgascustomersonascheduledrouteorintermittently.Theemployeewillservecustomersbymeetingcustomerneedsandresolvingcustomerproblems,drivingastraighttruckloadedwithcompressedgascylinders,liquidcylindersandhardgoodsfordeliverytothecustomersonthescheduledrouteandotherdutiesasnecessary.
SpecificJobResponsibilities:• Safelyuploading,deliveringanddownloadingcustomers’hardgoodsorders,aswellascylinders
containingcompressedgasesandreturningemptycylinderstoplantforrefilling.• Maintainingloadmanifestsandallothervehicledocuments,ensuringtheyareproperlycompleted
andbalancedwithtruckcountsandshippingdocumentsbeforeandafterdeliveries.• Establishingandmaintaininggoodcustomerrelationsbycommunicatinginpersonwithcustomers
andprovidinginformationoncost,orderinganddeliverytimes,etc.• Identifyingandmonitoringcustomers’needsandworkingwiththemtomaintainproperhardgoods
andcylinderlevelstominimizeoreliminateemergencydeliveries.• Operatingaforklift,palletjackandotherwarehouseequipment.• Ensuringallsafetyrulesarestrictlyobserved.
Qualifications:• Highschooldiplomaorgeneraleducationdegree(GED).• One(1)yearofdrivingexperience.• CDLAorBwithHAZMAT.• EmployeemustmeetallphysicalqualificationstandardsimposedbytheDepartmentof
Transportation(DOT).• CleanMVRdrivingrecord.• AbilitytoreadandcomprehendMaterialSafetyDataSheets(MSDS).• Whileperformingtheessentialdutiesofthisjob,theemployeeisregularlyrequiredtostandand
walkonconcreteforanextendedperiodoftime,bend,usehandsandarms,andhandlecylindersregularlyweighing150lb.,uptoamaximumof600lbs.Theemployeealsooccasionallyworksnearmovingmechanicalpartsandhazardousmaterialsandisregularlyexposedtofumesorairborneparticles,toxicorcausticchemicalsandrisksofelectricalshock.Theemployeeisregularlyexposedtooutsideweatherconditions.
