As mentioned before, the course has been re-structured as of 2006 and the new version of the course has been started in the educational year 2006-2007 (September 2006). The programme consists of 3 complementary steps which are repeated in the sixth, seventh and eight grades.

The Ministry of Education stresses that no formal course book will be used for “Design and Technology Course”. Only a guidebook for the teachers will be used. The preparation of this guide book by the Ministry of Education is still continuing.

The pupils take guidance from their teacher for the application process of their ideas and learning with regard technology will be realised in these processes.

The vision of the programme is to train creative individuals;

- who are open to change and developments - who are well aware of today’s problems and can offer solutions in order to build a better future for the society

- who are able to think, question and express themselves.
