CONCEIVING A PASSION

In the last decade few design firms in South Amer-ica, had been able to achieve the level of success of Corgo Yacht Design. What makes a distinctive yacht begins with the selection of the right design team, one that is in-novating and trendsetter in its field. To translate an owners requirements into a consistently winning reality is an art; combining inspiration and vision with the utmost professionalism.

Since 2004 Corgo Yacht Design sets the focus on the creation of motor yachts, in the range of 30 to 150 feet in length. Our team of professionals with vast experience in many fields such as: Naval En-gineering, Architecture, Industrial Design; making possible to conceive products that integrate differ-ent aspects - seaworthiness, exterior design and interior design - to create fully functional yachts.

Whether designing a custom or production yacht, our approach to design and to the key tenets of success remain the same. Our goal is to design a superior yacht that exceeds client expectations.

It is vital for the evolution as a design firm, learn-ing from the past while looking to the future. Corgo Yacht Design´s reputation for stunning beauty and outstanding performance matches our owners as-pirations to stand apart from the rest of the fleet. We hope this porftolio gives you an idea of the range and quality of our vision and ca-pabilities, and that this will inspire possible future collaborations.

In our studio the creative processes begins with a plain idea. We work closely with our clients holding regular interviews during the evolution of that first idea during all the phases of the design process.

We have created processes for the development of motor yachts through the inclusion of the latest software technology: 3D CAD/CAM and CFD which provide a major approach to the project. This tech-nology also allows us to visualize every element that will be conclusive at the moment of construc-tion- including those that must comply with rules of classification, international regulations, and the ones that are specific to the market where the ya-cht will navigate.

These tools are used to develop high performance hulls, structures able to bear with requirements, proper use of inner volume, and exterior lines that is appealing to everyone.

Due to a diverse working group is that our studio is able to handle several simultaneous work without compromising any aspect in them, or the final pro-duct resulting from the evolution of the idea.

92 / PROUCTIVE PROCESS

Due to innovation, creativity and self-style Corgo Yacht Design has been able to collaborate with renowned firms such as: Astilleros Segue, Klase A, QuattroMarine, Alinzi Yachts, Yacht Center Group, and Luhtom among others. More than 600 yachts that had been conceived in our Studio are already sailing all over South-Ameri-ca, Italy, Spain, UK, Russia and UEA.

PRODUCTIVE PROCESS

93 / ARCHITECTURE / ENGINEERING

The architecture of a yacht is taken into account for the first moment in the design process, where the kind of yacht and use will be defined. Once the main concepts are established, the technical team will start working thoroughly in calculations and analysis - stage we consider vital despite being the less perceivable. This results in a complete set of calculations, 2D blue prints and 3D modelling that will enable the shipyard to build the yacht in an accurate and precise way. Among these phases we can emphasise:

Development and optimization of the hull lines

Stability, weight and resistance analyses

Velocity prediction, power calculation

Performance

Structural calculation and development

Mechanical and electrical systems general layout

ARCHITECTURE / ENGINEERING

Determining the shape and use of exterior spac-es is a stage of the designing process which de-mands great artistic influence. All the lines that constitute the yacht will be studied in detail by our design team, taking into consideration: habitability, ergonomics, and aesthetic factors.

Our studio is qualified to offer custom solutions for inte-rior accommodations beginning with the first sketches, concluding with the technical documentation required for the production.

EXTERIOR DESIGN

INTERIOR DESIGN

94 / DESIGN

In order to make a proper and efficient presentation of our ideas and projects to our clients, we use different resources to show the evolution of the yachts design. Among these resources we can mention: conceptual drawings, digital rendering, visualization, and 3D hy-per-realistic animations.Consequently a great communication flux derives from the relation between designer-customer, enabling to reduce pitfalls in next stages.

95 / CONCEPTS

Our services are aimed to shipyards, private cus-tomers and other design teams.Corgo Yacht Design provides a full design and en-gineering package that includes:

EXPRESSING IDEAS

96 / EXPRESSING IDEAS

We truly believe that the passion poured into an idea is the ground of a successful project- wheth-er working with a direct client, or with the ship-yard that will be building the yacht.

Corgo Yacht Design is aware of the need of being avant-garde and creative, to remain competitive; we have the skill to change according to the en-vironment needs. Constant research and devel-oping is our distinctive mark.
